  • Established administrative office in Loreto January, 2008.

  • Launched web site – January 2008.

  • Recruited Ms. Laura Escobosa as the Executive Director
    with a June 2008 start date.

  • Held first Annual Meeting of the Board of Directors/
    Advisory Board, January 17, 2008 in conjunction with the
    International Sea Turtle Conference.

  • Undertake research to support potential expansion of
    Loreto Marine Park in collaboration with Laura
    Escobosa, SIO (Spring/Winter 2008).

  • Secure small planning grant to position Eco-Alianza de
    Loreto for consideration as a future member of the
    Waterkeeper Alliance (www.waterkeeper.org) and
    undertake work in preparation for proposal submission as
    the Loreto Coastkeeper. (Deadline: July 2008).

  • Undertake the Public Consultation of the Manifest of
    Environmental Impact (MIA) for the project Loreto
    Paraiso (San Bruno) in partnership with CEMDA (Mexican
    Center for Environmental Law).

  • Celebrate Earth Day, April 22, 2008 - Sunday, April 20.
    » Beach cleanup campaign committee:
    Maciel Cortés, Adriana Curland, Linda Kinninger and
    volunteers Val Wilkerson, Mary Lampros

  • Propose a RARE pride campaign to the Loreto
    Community – April, 2008 www.rareconservation.org -
    Apply to RARE Conservation.

  • Obtain the tax deductibility authorization by the
